Sunday night

Here I am – here we are – at Sunday again.  The week has flown by, and the weekend went by faster than ever, it seems.  Yesterday, my husband and I went to IKEA and bought some furniture, and he set it up while I babysat.  It felt amazing to come home to what felt like a brand new living room in our tiny apartment.  The kitchen is a mess and I haven’t done laundry in almost two weeks, but the living room and dining room is neat and organized, all 120 sq. feet of it!  He’s also reading this as I write, and keeps taking the keyboard from and writing things and then freaking out and making me delete the silly things that he writes.  It’s pretty adorable.  My husband is definitely the win of the week for me.  He is silly and loving and sacrificial, and he sets up all the IKEA furniture I make him buy 🙂

In other news, I found a designer that makes me happy.  I don’t follow fashion beyond Target, JC Penney, and Forever 21, and Forever 21 makes me cringe.  I just buy their ten dollar jeans so it’s okay for me to throw them out when the kids get paint/food/bodily fluids on them that doesn’t come out.  Anyway, I saw some of Simone Rocha’s work, and it made me happy.  One of her lines is reminiscent of Elizabethan times, and some of it is just plain pretty and flowery or glittery or frilly, and the beauty of those pieces are enthralling.  Some of it is too sheer or angular or whatnot for my taste, but in general, I really enjoy perusing her collections.  So far, the SS 2014 line is my favorite.  Check out her handiwork!

In any case, I’m off to face the rest of the week!
